ESOL TEACHER AT THE RIFT VALLEY CHILDREN'S VILLAGE
The Tanzanian Children's Fund is seeking an
ESOL professional to work at the Rift Valley Children's Village in Tanzania as
a full time teacher at Gyetighi Primary school. The goal of the position is to
coordinate and teach a comprehensive ESOL curriculum to our students in order
to position them for future educational and professional success.
The specifics of this job include but are not
limited to:
Primary Responsibilities:
·
Management of the ESOL
program at Gyetighi Primary School
·
Planning, preparing
and delivering lessons to a range of classes and age groups;
·
Preparing and setting
tests, examination papers, and exercises;
·
Marking and providing
appropriate feedback on oral and written work;
·
Devising, writing and
producing new ESOL materials;
·
Participating in
extra-curricular school activities as required;
·
Organizing and
facilitating teacher training sessions;
·
Providing support for
one-on-one tutors as needed;
·
Coordinating with RVCV
volunteers who can assist in teaching and tutoring responsibilities
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor's Degree
·
Commitment to service
·
Ability to engage
children, faculty and volunteers
·
Strong team-building
skills and interpersonal skills
·
Knowledge of Swahili
helpful
·
Overseas
working/volunteering experience helpful.
·
Valid teacher's
license/certificate
·
ESOL teacher
certification
·
Minimum of 1-2 years'
experience
